Dual Language Immersion (DLI)
Information for the 2026-2027 School Year:
Hello DLI Families!
We just wanted to reach out and inform you about the upcoming DLI Kindergarten registration process for this spring!
The DLI Application will open at 7:00AM on March 16th and close at 3:00PM on May 8th.
Gwinnett County Public Schools runs a lottery to determine placement in the program.
By May 19th, families should recieve notice that they have been selected through a ParentSquare message.
If families have older students enrolled in the DLI program, they will still need to fill out the application for their incoming Kindergarten student.

If you have a rising Kindergarten student, this is important information for you to understand if you wish to enroll your rising K student in the DLI program at Camp Creek ES (or any other GCPS school).

Camp Creek ES Dual Language Immersion (DLI)
The Kindergarten 2026 - 2027 DLI Application will be available on the GCPS website beginning March 16th. You will have to complete this in addition to the Kindergarten Online Registration.
Parents will need to complete registration for kindergarten beginning March 16, 2026 in an easy two-step process prior to their DLI application being processed.
Step 1: Online registration on the district website
Step 2: Schedule / attend a registration appointment at their child’s assigned elementary school . (CCES)
- Dual Language Immersion at Camp Creek will continue with a 2 class cohort next year in kindergarten.
- Two teachers will work together to support the instruction in the Dual Language program.
- Students will have mathematics, science, and literacy skills that are specific to that language for 50% of the day with a Spanish speaking teacher.
- A second class will have language arts and social studies with the other teacher in English.
- At a determined point during the day, the teachers will switch groups of students so that all students receive instruction in both languages.
- Each year, the program will expand to the next grade level as students move through elementary school.
